Is an up to 3% matching IRA better than an Roth IRA?
DCS asked:
A company that I hold a contract through is offering me a 3% matching IRA. Is it better in the long run for me in invest in an a tax free Roth or is 3% match good enough. Im thinking it would be better to do 3% I dont know if its better on taxes.

I would check out exactly what the 3% matching IRA for an independent contractor. I’ve never heard of such a thing. I’m not even sure if it would be legal.
- a major question is what is the vesting schedule. Maybe it does exist but no one would ever meet the vesting requirements so it would never be paid.
